Sample Description
Sample was prepared by adding 4% Baker reagent H2O2 to a fine ground Basalt and grinding in an alumina mortar and pestle. The Baker reagent contains 30% H2O2, thus the mixture contains 1.2% H2O2. BHVO-2F is a USGS Basalt standard taken from Halemaumau Crater, Hawaii. View the Certificate of analysis here: http://crustal.usgs.gov/geochemical_reference_standards/basaltbhvo2.html Minor Component Description: Colorless Liquid Other Names: Hydrogen Peroxide, oxydol, hydroperoxide, perhydrol CAS #: 7722-84-1 JT Baker Product #: 2189-01 JT Baker Lot #: M39G23 ASSAY (H2O2) 29-32% RESIDUE AFTER EVAPORATION 0.03% NITROGEN COMPOUNDS (AS N) 0.001% PHOSPHATE 0.02% SULFATE 0.001% TRACE IMPURITIES (AS ppm) CHLORIDE (Cl) 5 HEAVY METALS (AS Pb) 1 IRON (Fe) 0.5 NOTE: the Baker sample contains 30% H2O2, thus the mixture actually contains 1.2% H2O2.
