- Sample Description
- Dimorphous with Tetranantrolite. "T-22 Natrolite 169B--Poonah, India. Na2Al2Si3O102H2O: The spectral features in this sample are very well resolved and the spectrum displays multiple sharp and weak features, all due to H2O throughout the entire mid- infrared. The main features are at 0.98µ, 1.19µ, 1.46µ, 1.95µ, 2.2µ, and 2.44µ. The differences in these natrolite spectra indicate that the water is less randomly located in the Poonah sample than in the Springfield sample." Hunt, G.R., J.W. Salisbury, and C.J. Lenhoff, 1973, Visible and near-infrared spectra of minerals and rocks: VI. Additional silicates. Modern Geology, v. 4, p. 85-106.
