- XRD Analysis
- Primarily a zeolite of the heulandite group - best match is stellerite, but this isn't definitive. Konnert, Judith and Marta Flohr, 1992, unpublished data, USGS Reston, VA. Stilbite is also a member of the heulandite group. 40 kV - 30 mA, 6.5-9.5 keV File: stilbite.out, -.mdi References: JCPDS #24-894 Found: Stilbite Comment: Very well crystallized phase. Expected to observe the (-201) reflection, but did not. Did observe some unexpected peak splitting not shown in the JCPDS listing. JCPDS listing does not exceed 35.8 degrees 2 theta for CuK alpha, so any additional phase having reflections only above 35.8 degrees could not be detected without further work. Stilbite has fibrous habit; this material is granular. J.S. Huebner, J. Pickrell, T. Schaefer, written communication(USGS)
