Reflectance of dried leaves of willow (Salix sp.) measured in the laboratory. This collection of sagebrush leaves was measured after oven drying them for 24 hours at 36 degrees Celsius.The green leaves were stacked in a sample cup and the head of the spectrometer fiber optic cable was passed over the leaves. The vegetation was sampled in Yellowstone National Park and kept in a plastic bag, on ice, for four days until measured. Photos of the sample: none
